Join us for another Messy event to celebrate Advent with fun activities: baking, making and a picnic lunch to share. Saturday 30th November, 10.30am – 12.30pm. This is a free event aimed at pre-school and primary school children.
West End Action for Churches Together have organised a hustings at St Mary’s Cathedral, 300 Great Western Road, on Tuesday 3rd December. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
This opportunity for you to question General Election candidates from all the main parties will be chaired by Sir John Curtice, Professor of Politics from the University of Strathclyde.
Roger Sturrock will be leading this year’s Lent Bible studies based on the film “The Greatest Showman”, the story of the great American showman Phineas Barnum.
The study booklet is entitled “From Now On” and deals with the great themes of hope and redemption.
The studies will begin with a showing of the film at 7.30pm in Wellington’s Woodlands Hall on Thursday 7th March followed by 5 studies in the Hall from 7.30-9.00 pm on Thursdays, 14th, 21st, 28th March and 4th, 11th April.
Coffee and tea, etc., will be available. Please make a note of these studies in your diaries and come along. Everyone is invited.
Once again we welcome the East Dumbartonshire Concert Band to our evening Carols by Candlelight service. With the church lit by the light of many candles, and the chance to sing some well-loved carols accompanied by some very talented musicians, this is a festive treat for all.
